Welcome to Tako Mats. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website (www.takomats.com.au) and your purchase of any products or services from us. By accessing our site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About Us
Tako Mats is an Australian-owned business based in Sydney. We design and produce high-quality TCG playmats and gaming mousepads, including custom mats, made right here in Australia.
2. Ordering & Payment
- All prices listed are in AUD and inclusive of GST (where applicable).
- Orders are confirmed only once full payment has been received.
- We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion (e.g. if a product is out of stock or a pricing error occurs).
- Payment is processed securely through trusted third-party gateways (e.g. Stripe, PayPal).
3. Custom Orders
When you submit an image for a custom mat, you confirm that:
- You have the legal rights or permission to use and reproduce the image.
- The content is not offensive, harmful, or in breach of copyright or community standards.
We offer a free image enhancement service—The Image Cleanup Promise—to improve the clarity and overall appearance of your uploaded designs. While we do our best to enhance every image, we are not responsible for low-resolution source files or print quality issues caused by image limitations.
4. Shipping & Delivery
- Orders are processed the same day when placed before 2 PM AEST, Monday to Friday. Orders placed after this cutoff or on weekends/public holidays will be processed the next business day.
- We ship Australia-wide using trusted couriers.
- Delivery times may vary depending on your location.
- We are not liable for delays caused by shipping providers or external events once the order has been dispatched.
5. Returns & Refunds
We do not offer refunds for change of mind.
We will gladly provide a replacement or refund if your item:
- Arrives damaged
- Contains a manufacturing defect
- Differs significantly from what was described
To request a return, email us at helpme@takomats.com.au within 14 days of receiving your order, including photos and a description of the issue.
6. Warranty
All Tako Mats products are backed by a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
This warranty covers:
- Delamination or edge separation
- Print defects or significant fading (under normal use)
- Faults in stitching or materials
This warranty does not cover:
- General wear and tear
- Damage from misuse, improper cleaning, or accidents
- User-supplied artwork issues
To make a warranty claim, contact helpme@takomats.com.au with your order number and clear photos of the issue.
7. Intellectual Property
All original artwork, branding, and designs featured on our site are the property of Tako Mats or their respective creators. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content without permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tako Mats is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our site or products. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the product in question.
9. Privacy
We respect your privacy and handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our site, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined there.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from your use of our website or purchase of products will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of NSW.
